Disney Portfolio

It was the original animation from these iconic films that sparked my creative interest from a young age. Learning how to draw was largely linked to this magic and has since been inspiration for further work as an artist. 

 

In sharing my Disney portfolio on my social media platform (@reelandwildflower), I take inspiration from commenters' suggestions. I find that Disney art touches a certain type of nostalgia many of us know and the connection on social media has cultivated that relationship between artist and onlooker. 

 

I specialize in watercolor painting primarily, creating small and miniature pieces. With my love for the small and detailed, I have created a series of collage paintings, showcasing Disney characters and a combination of styles throughout the years. 

 

Also included in this portfolio are watercolor sketches, watercolor postcard series, and oil pastel sketches. To create, it is said that one has to be in a state of play, whether capturing something “mundane” or spectacular. It is the simple, rather everyday things, that have tugged at my creative hands from the beginning. Many of these sketches showcase what is often overlooked, yet beautiful in its own way.
